Eyal is an executive and entrepreneur with extensive track record in the sector including over 10 years of successful management of Econergy.
As a managing partner, Eyal has led all Econergy’s strategy, business development and deal closure processes, including many large-scale project finance agreements as well as JV with strategic partners and investors. With many years of focused management in the sector, Eyal has become one of the leading managers in the renewable environment in EU in general and in Italy in particular. Prior to Econergy, Eyal has been the Director of SeaTerra Group, a leading EU property development company and has successfully managed the development, construction and sale of major 2nd residential resorts.
Eyal holds a BA in Economics and MBA from INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, France.
Yoav is an executive, senior manager and entrepreneur with substantial market experience and over 10 years of excellent track record at Econergy.
As a managing partner and COO, Yoav is leading Econergy’s financial and operation management, involved in every operational aspect of the business, from structuring a transaction pre-closing including due diligence efforts, to post-closing activities including asset management, O&M, financial management, costs optimization and many more tasks. With many years of focused management in the sector, Yoav has become one of the leading managers in the renewable environment in EU in general and in Italy in particular. Prior to Econergy, Yoav has spent many years as COO at Eshbel Technologies, provider of integrated software management solutions for organizations.
Yoav holds a BA in Economics and Management and MBA from Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
Wolf takes responsibility for Econergy’s European expansion outside the Italian market and works with the country managers and local teams, setting overall strategies for our pipeline development.
Prior to Econergy, Wolf spent more than 10 years in the UK’s renewable energy industry, the majority of which in solar, with a focus on large scale developments, including design and delivery, and managing significant transactions, due diligence processes and contract negotiations, and setting overall strategies and team development.
Wolf holds an Executive MBA from Sir John Cass Business School in London.
Yuri is an experienced Financial Controller, managing all financial related activities at Econergy.
Prior to joining the team at Econergy, Yuri was Financial Controller at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group Plc. She is a chartered certified accountant with over 15+ years of financial & operational management experience covering accounting, auditing, taxation, treasury and change management largely in the financial services industry where she has worked in various managerial and operational accounting roles. She has significant people management experience leading teams across multiple geographies.
Yuri holds a Business Management Degree and Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Jonathan is an energy professional with 10 years experience in the global energy/financial sectors on the buy-side in New York, Tel Aviv and Milan.
Strong knowledge of buy-side deal origination, structuring of project finance and operation management for renewable energy assets. Prior to Econergy, Jonathan was Director North America at Energreen Investment, an EU investment management firm focusing on solar PV development. Prior to that experiences include investment roles at Migdal Insurance, Israel largest pension fund focusing on infrastructure investments. Before that Jonathan has spent 6 years in Intesa Sanpaolo Group based in New York both in the risk management and control at its investment bank arm (Banca IMI) and in the Corporate and Investment Group.
Jonathan holds a BA in Economics from Yeshiva University and an MBA in finance from Fordham University both attained in New York.
Enrico has more than 10-year experience as executive and senior manager in the renewable energy market. He has been involved since the beginning in the development of the solar market in Italy, contributing to the design, authorization and realization of large solar capacity, and then managing, operating and maintaining large solar and biogas portfolios up to 100 MW of total capacity.
Enrico has wide international experience, having provided asset management services for many years to foreign investors. Prior to contributing to the development of the renewable energy market in Italy, Enrico worked in the telecommunications industry where he held managing roles in the R&D department of Ericsson, and got international assignments, spending many years abroad. In this frame, Enrico achieved a patent on how to best handle a pool of shared hardware resources.
Enrico holds a Master in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome.
Giuseppe has been active in the renewable energy business since 2010 with a strong background on construction and operation of utility-scale solar assets. He has an international experience in M&A process, construction and operation of utility scale solar assets especially in Europe and Americas.
Giuseppe joined Econergy team after a long experience in WiseEnergy International (part of Next Energy Capital group) where he worked as Head of Technical Operation Italy, US and LATAM. During the last 2 years Giuseppe has been mainly focused on the construction and operation of several utility-scale solar projects located in USA and Mexico totaling more than 700 MWp. Before that, Giuseppe served as Senior Technical Manager Italy by taking care of the Italian portfolio of solar assets managed by WiseEnergy for a counter value of almost 1 Billion Euro Prior to WiseEnergy, Giuseppe worked for 3 years in ENERQOS SpA as EPC Project Manager where he managed and supervised the construction process of more than 100 MW PV assets across Italy on behalf of prior international investors.
Giuseppe holds a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Palermo and a Master in Project Management from Politecnico di Milano. He is a certified Project Manager at IPMA (International Project Management Association).
Valentina works into the renewable energy business for more than 10 years. Valentina has international experience in the construction, operation and maintenance and asset management of PV plants, ground mounted and rooftop projects.
In SAG Solar Italia as EPC she supervised the construction of more than 50 MW, managing directly the administrative process related to the connection, tariff and permitting. She was in charge of leading the O&M department having direct contact with international investors. In 2015 she joined Vectorcuatro Italia as Asset Manager, where she was responsible for a portfolio of over 120 MW, managing direct contact with Investors, banks, technical advisors and all the public entities involved into the process. In Vectorcuatro Valentina had the opportunity to partecipate in various due diligence and selling processes.
Valentina holds a Master degree in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
Luca has been active in the renewable energy business since 2009 with a strong background on both technical, commercial and plant operation skills. He has an international experience in sales, construction and operation of biogas plants especially in Italy, Europe, South East Asia and South America.
As Plant Manager Luca is taking care of the O&M, financial management, costs optimization, biomass supply and operational team management. Prior to Econergy, Luca has spent several years in the biogas business starting as Engineering Manager in Sebigas with more than 80 successfully commissioned projects of both electrical energy production and biomethane grid injection. He was also developer and then managing director for the Thailand Joint Venture of the company. Prior to that, he was in the steel industry for 6 years as Project Engineer developing hot rolling mill plant worldwide for Siemens VAI Metals Technologies.
Luca holds a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
Marcello is an executive and senior manager with extensive track record, including over 10 years in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
Marcello is in charge of Econergy’s management in Poland, involved in every strategic, financial and operational aspect of the business: from structuring transactions to leading development activities to managing contractors and third parties. Marcello’s experience prior to Econergy include roles as sustainability lead for a major strategy consulting group, as general manager for a leading developer of renewable energy assets in Poland as well as senior management roles for key players in the automotive and consumer goods industries.
Marcello holds an MSc in Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, France.
Gerrard is a renewable energy professional with over 10 years’ experience in the UK Solar PV space, from roof top to ground mounted utility scale projects. With a very strong technical and practical knowledge of developing solar projects at all stages from inception through to financial close.
Prior to joining the team at Econergy, Gerrard was Technical Manager at Solar Securities Ltd. Managing a development pipeline of 100MWp of ground mounted solar projects in the UK. He was responsible for identifying new project locations, completing feasibility studies and producing indicative design layouts and specifying components. Also managing the grid connection process, landowner negotiations and managing technical and planning consultants. As well as managing the data rooms to facilitate sale and financial of projects and financial close. Gerrard has delivered a lecture series covering the development of solar projects as an industry guest lecturer for MSc Renewable Energy postgrad students. Before moving to SSL he founded a solar installation company focusing on the domestic and <100kWp commercial markets. Surveying, designing, installing and commissioning rooftop solar projects and subcontracting installation services to a large supermarket chain.
Gerrard holds a BSc (Hons) in Renewable Energy from University of Exeter and is an Associate of Camborne School of Mines.
Philip is a renewable energy professional who has worked in the UK renewable energy sector since 2012 covering a variety of technologies from on Shore Wind and Biogas to Utility Scale Solar.
Previously Philip worked for Lightsource BP as Land Manager covering a 1.9 GW Solar O&M Portfolio and managing a team of 25 inhouse field engineers. Philip was also involved in the planning application process, lease negotiations and land reinstatement of solar assets during and after the construction of sites. Philip has used this experience to transition into the development of Utility Scale Solar where he could use his knowledge of operational assets to help develop the next generation of Subsidy Free Solar. Philip has a strong technical knowledge of the land based sciences and practical experience of working with landowners to help them face the challenges UK agriculture and land ownership is currently facing.
Philip has a HND in Countryside and Environmental Management from Harper Adams University.
Chiara is financial analyst with 8 years of experience in investment management, entrepreneurship and economic development.
Prior to Econergy, Chiara was financial analyst in the Biotech sector where she was Financial Manager of 12 academic spin-offs, covering a portfolio of 30 technologies. She had a key role in the due diligence activities for buy-side investors and in preparation of the listing in Borsa Italiana. Prior to that Chiara worked as financial analyst in Luxembourg in a private equity boutique, focused on industrial and energy sectors, and at UBI Banca as Corporate Banking Relationship Manager. Chiara has a track record of economic development projects. She worked at the United Nations in Vienna as project assistant, in Rome at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and was grant holder at the University of Lecce (Puglia).
Chiara holds a Master in International Finance, Audit and Control from PwC Academy and the Institut de Formation Bancaire du Luxembourg and a Master in International Economics from the University of Turin.
Gabriele is an Asset Manager with two years experience in the PV plants management.
Prior to Econergy Gabriele was Asset Manager in Vector Cuatro Italia where he had the possibility to operate with a large Italian portfolio. He was responsible for the reporting of the financial and technical performance, the contracts supervision and the coordination with all the private and public entities involved in the energy sector.
Gabriele holds a Bachelor in Environmental Engineering and a specialised Master degree on renewable energies at Politecnico di Milano.
